Executive Head’s Welcome

Welcome to the John Hampden and Tetsworth Primary School Federation. As Executive Headteacher of the John Hampden and Tetsworth Schools Federation, I am extremely proud to lead both schools in our continued mission to provide an exceptional education for all our children. My role is to offer strategic oversight and to work closely with Mrs Spencer as she leads and delivers The Tetsworth Way with dedication and passion.

Together, we are committed to ensuring that every child across our federation has access to an ambitious, high-quality curriculum, a nurturing and supportive learning environment, and rich opportunities for personal development. Mrs Spencer and I meet weekly to reflect on progress, discuss school strategy, and plan for the future. I also visit the school each week to spend time with our wonderful children and see first-hand the fantastic learning taking place in classrooms.

A school federation is a formal partnership between two or more schools that work together to improve educational outcomes, share resources, and support one another while maintaining their individual identities and community spirit.

At the heart of our federation is a commitment to collaboration. By working closely together, our schools benefit from shared expertise, joint staff development, and enriched learning opportunities for all pupils. Importantly, our schools share a single governing body. This unified governance ensures consistent leadership, strategic direction, and accountability across both schools, helping us to maintain high standards and a clear focus on what matters most—our children’s education and well-being.
