On Tuesday 8th October, 29 children and parents travelled to Oxford Spires Academy to compete in the Oxford City and Thame District Cross Country qualifiers for the Oxfordshire County Finals. Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify but there were some great results from some of our runners. Lucy, Alisdair & Natasha all placed in the top 10
Tetsworth Primary achieved the ‘gold’ award for their participation in sports events for the school year 2018-2019. The Oxfordshire School Games recognised their hard work in representing their primary school on the sports field. The school engaged 95% of Reception to Year 6 in inter-school activities and 100% of their pupils in intra-school activities.
Year 3/4 have been dissecting ‘Plants’ in Science. They are learning all of the separate parts of the plant including the stamen, stigma, ovary, ovule, filament, anther, flower and pollen.
The Lord Williams’ Festival of Dance took place on Wednesday 19th June at the Phoenix Studio at Lord Williams’ Lower School. This year Tetsworth was represented by children from Year 2 to 6. Tetsworth’s Mighty Army danced Street Dance which was performed to Kill the Dance by Akon. The consensus was that they absolutely smashed
On Friday 14th June the whole school turned up for a mammoth penalty shootout to raise money for UNICEF’s Soccer Aid fundraiser. The children had a special opponent in goal in the shape of Mr. Hankey the school’s headmaster. The children took on penalty each and lots of penalties were saved and scored. All of
