Year 3/4 have been dissecting ‘Plants’ in Science. They are learning all of the separate parts of the plant including the stamen, stigma, ovary, ovule, filament, anther, flower and pollen.
These pretty flowers are now hanging from the branch in Class 3. They took patience – not only from the children but from Mrs Mann too
Class One have been using bars and numicon to learn about place value.
The children have been busy in the vegetable patch. They have planted tomatoes, mint, rhubarb and runner beans. Prior to planting – they had to weed! And now we have a lovely rose – Joie de Vie – and some lavender (which smells really nice!)
A specially decorated Victoria Sandwich – made by Mrs Mann – to celebrate the end of SATs. Well done to Year 6 who have tried their very best this week.
