The children in Class Two have been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this week as Kian is of Irish heritage as his grandparents were born in the Republic of Ireland. We have been spending a lot of time ‘Celebrating our Differences’ this school year and will carry on doing so – So far we have celebrated Chinese New Year, Australia’s National Day, St. David’s Day and Burns’ Night. However, this time it was Ireland’s turn to be celebrated. Kian’s mum, Patricia and grandmother, Anne-Marie came in to talk to the children about being Irish, growing up in Ireland and how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They also brought in some Irish delicacies which the children enjoyed trying!
Beannachtai na Feile Padraig oraibh, Patricia & Ann-Marie!
