Behaviour at Tetsworth Primary School – Ready, Respectful, Safe
At Tetsworth Primary School, our approach to behaviour begins with the adults. We model the calm, consistent and respectful behaviour we expect from our learners. Every adult takes responsibility for creating a positive, safe and inclusive environment — nobody walks past behaviour that falls short of our standards.
We focus on recognition, not rewards – building pride, not prizes. Learners are respected at all times, and we respond to behaviour with fairness and consistency, never emotion or humiliation.
Our culture supports the 95% of learners who arrive each day ready to learn, while providing care and understanding for those who need extra support. Teachers remain in charge of behaviour in their classrooms, using restorative conversations to repair relationships and refocus learning.
By being Ready, Respectful and Safe, everyone in our community helps to create a school where learning thrives and every learner can succeed.
