Term 3 – week 2

  • Jasper – your mum is super impressed with your reading – she is pleased you are so excited to read (and that you are loving) the Beast Quest series.
  • Sarah – for a very informative and well presented Power Point presentation on the birds in Stoke Talmage.

 

  • Millie has challenged herself to cover 100 miles walking and biking throughout January. Amazing! Good luck.
  • Harrison – normally wary of anything with wheels – went over two miles on his scooter. That’s fantastic
  • Ava – for continued brilliant reading and just devouring books. That’s so good to hear
  • Casey – for engaging really well with home learning and putting the hours in

Special Mentions

  • Ava – for building such a fantastic replica of the boat sailed by Christopher Columbus – and for thinking of some questions his sailors might have asked.
  • Eliza and Millie – for working together on the topic work over Zoom. It was such a success, that they have decided to choose one lesson a week to pair up and complete.
  • Ollie – for persevering with home learning this week, even when the going got tough. I’m glad you are enjoying the topic work.

Term 3 – week 1

  • WOW! Chaice has made several different circuit boards using lights, alarms, fans, music and doorbells.
  • WOW! Everyone has made such a good start to home learning and we’ve seen some super photos so far – well done.

  • Sophie – for her 12 days of Lockdown song (which was really cool ). It’s on the school FB page if you want to sing it

Class 3 photography competition

Winners of the competition that was organised by Sarah – thank you very much. It has raised £27 for school funds

  • Plants: Eliza and Mrs Mann (who we must thank for helping to organise)

Tetsworth Bake Off 2020

Wow! What difficult decisions to have to make. Thank you all for your entries. In no particular order:

  • Otto and Laila-Beth for their spectacular Christmas pudding cake.
  • Jonah for his festive jam tarts – such precision for one so young.
  • Eliza for her melted snowman pavlova cake – not an easy bake.
  • Nancy for her snow globe biscuits – I’ve never seen those before.
  • Chaice for delicious looking scotch eggs.
  • Ava for a wow! Christmas tree cake.

Highly commended:

  • Sophie for a chocolate and orange cake worthy of a Paul Hollywood handshake.
  • Johnny for persevering with a beautifully decorated gingerbread house.
  • Iona for producing more than one tasty looking bake.
  • George and Grace for their florentines which look as if they’ve just arrived from F & M.

 

  • Congratulations to Evelyn, who persevered with the book she chose from the school library at the beginning of term – she has now finished it (and enjoyed it). Well done
